A proposito
French production boatbuilders Beneteau require no introduction from me, having been in business since 1884! The First 40.7 was initially designed by Bruce Farr in 1999 and very quickly gained popularity with nearly 700 produced in total. I would imagine they are probably the best known of the cruiser-racers, they still turn up in numbers at club regattas all over the country and as a family cruising boat they offer excellent accommodation as well as being fun to sail
This 40.7 has had a good career under RORC, from channel races to Round Britain and Ireland and she's crossed the Atlantic to take part in a Caribbean season. She has a comprehensive sail wardrobe (which needs an inventory when time allows) and has been updated and maintained in current ownership, now just in the yard due to ill health. The blue hull has been previously painted and does now require attention, there does not appear to be any damage but the paint is peeling.
The layout below will feel very familiar to most sailors. Everything is where and how you would expect it to be; a safe environment including a good galley at sea and plenty of space and comfort when alongside.
Again below she needs a little attention, the upholstery a good clean and general tlc but as on deck there does not appear to be any visibly significant issues here either.
She will remain ashore in a good yard (own work allowed but reliable trades also in situ) until sold so available for easy inspection.
These boat details are subject to contract.
