A proposito
This wonderful yacht comes to the market seen to be a very well built and very well specified example of a Bruce Roberts Voyager 388 cutter rigged, long fin keel cruising yacht constructed from welded steel plate. Hull plating welded 2013. The welding of the superstructure was completed in September 2018.
I was introduced to this striking vessel ashore allowing me to appreciate the depths of her hull and overall size. She is smart and modern looking with a confident presence of seaworthiness and stability.
Boarding her from the swim platform was very easy opening out onto a spacious uncluttered aft deck with equally uncluttered side decks. Her layout is of center cockpit style/deck saloon with a good sized cockpit tent. She has a nice wide companionway for access into a large upper saloon area which is home to your main operating panels and nav station with a pilot berth to starboard.
Inside she was designed with an open plan feel, light and airey with lots of head room. She is 6 single berths for serious cruising. Her galley sits to portside in the main saloon with the electric heads to starboard with forward cabin twin in the bow and another twin in the aft.
Note from the owner:
My yacht is an all steel long keel cutter with fully battened slab reef main and roller fore (Crusader) sails. Deep centre cockpit and substantial deck stepped mast, the interior configured for easy maintenance and flexible accommodation.
All usual navigational facilities by way of fully networked Raymarine instruments, plotters, and Radar etc.
I designed her with ample battery power backed by solar wind and alternator charging support electronics, domestic power and electric windlass.
The interior simple open layout over three cabins provides 6 single berths with potential to create doubles if desired.
Pressure hot and cold water, electric toilet, LPG 3 burner oven/hob, diesel heating, fridge with easy good access to engine and critical services.
Launched in 2022 she was conceived and built for a return trans-Atlantic voyage to Belize City, regrettably only the build half of the plan has been realised and the return voyage is no longer possible.
To date she has sailed to the Isle of Wight and Solent, accumulated 40 engine hours and is effectively a new hull and equipment ready for extended sailing or longer passages.
